A few days ago, a reporter for a California newspaper called me and asked me to explain why sports fans do such crazy things.
Some years ago, I wrote an article about violence in sports and included some thoughts on the behavior of fans, players and coaches.
This article lead to my appearing on Good Morning America and some other media exposure.
Some fans who rely on sports as a distraction may become somewhat overly involved with sports and thier teams during a recession which creates more stress for them.
