What Is Wrong With US Tennis?

Much has been written about the lack of top male players in America.
Chris Lewit, in his new book, The Secrets Of Spanish Tennis provides some insight into why the Spaniards have been so successful in this sport.
The emphasis on footwork, the use of red clay, the family atmosphere and the abundance of fine academies close to one another provide great training opportunities.
I also like the importance of defense, racket speed and the comparison to the soft martial arts that the author points out.
As someone who has coached many elite tennis players and written a book on tennis and developed a mental toughness program for tennis players, I believe this book is well worth reading.
