I’m a string breaker. I can go through strings every two weeks very easily, playing three or four times per week.
I’ve been this way for quite some time and I have tried lots of different strings, tensions and rackets. Like a lot of string breakers, I still want a string which offers some touch and feel.
I am psychotherapist for quite a few top tennis players and I have discussed this problem with them. Most players seem to think that if you gain durability, you give up some touch. Similarly, if you gain some touch, you tend to lose some durability.
Recently, I discovered a string that has been holding up very well and I have enjoyed playing with them quite a bit. The strings are made by a company called Kirschbaum and they are called Super Smash.
These strings are inexpensive and they are holding up very well.
I usually by my strings at Midwest Tennis.

Their prices are right and their service tends to be pretty good.
