Sports Psychology, Swimming, The Nationals And The Olympics

Over the years, I have counseled a number of competitive swimmers.  These swimmers, coaches and parents typically call me because the swimmer is faster in practice than he or she is in races.

A swimmer who is tense, distracted and who lacks confidence and focus will not respond well to the gun and will not swim to his her potential.

To get swimmers to peform their best, I use a combination of hypnosis, visualization, guided imagery, strategic planning and lifestyle changes which will enable them to perform as well in races as they do in practice.

For many of these athletes, a fraction of a second can make a  huge difference.  It can determine who goes to the nationals, finals and The Olympics.
