Sports Psychology For Wrestlers: Four Tips For Success On The Mat

Over the years, I have counseled many wrestlers. Here are a few tips to help them to perform their best.

1. Know your brand and your style. And never let what you can’t do stop you from doing what you can do.
2. Know what you need to do to manage the down time between matches.
3. Many wrestlers get obsessed with knowing the rankings of the person they are wrestling. If this distracts you,
try not to pay attention to this and focus more on wrestling your best.
4. Learn mental techniques to help you stay calm confident and focused. There are a lot of them on this program.
