Sports Psychology And Elite Hockey Players: A Case Example

Over the years, I have counseled many hockey players.  Recently, I counseled a very fine goalie who’s confidence and focus had been a bit rattled.  He was also a bit fatigued.

He came to see me before an important game which was scheduled later that day.

I hypnotized this young man and gave him a special kind of psychological pep talk.

While at dinner, I got a super phone call. Dr. Granat we won 4-3.  Thanks for your help.

I frequently ask athletes to call me to let me know how they are doing.  This was nice news.  I was happy for him and for his parents who are concerned about the best way to support their son.
