Roger Federer: What Makes Him So Special?

Posted by: Dr. Granat on August 30, 2007

I have coached lots of tennis players and I am avid player myself.  My kids and wife also play.

Roger Federer is a remarkable talent and he prove to be the greatest player ever.  He is gifted with great balance, speed and plays tennis like a brilliant and creative artist.

But technically speaking, What makes him special? And what sets him apart from so many players?

I think it has something to do with his ability to keep his eyes and head on the ball.  His head remains very still while he tracks the ball and while he strikes it.  I have never seen another player do this quite so well.
