My pal and golf instructor, Jon Manos of Bergen County, New Jersey, gave me a simple and useful tip for hitting the lob wedge.
"It is very rare that you will need a full swing with that club, " John said during a recent practice session.
Golfers know how useful this club can be in getting over a trap and it getting the ball land softly and stop.
Get used to hitting this club without swinging hard.
For me, a two thirds to three quarters swing, seems about right for many situations.
Thanks much, Jon, for another great tip.
