Sports Psychology: Are Student Athletes More At Risk For Suicide?

Yesterday, I got a call from a producer and from a national television show and he asked me if thought that this was true.
While student athletes are under pressure, I believe that the value of sports can be helpful in preventing depression and anxiety which are often precursors to suicide.
Leadership, teamwork, resilience, focus and positive relationships with coaches can be good for one’s mental health.
